Aboveground propane tanks are ideal for consumers with a satisfactory place in their yard for installation. Underground Propane Tanks
You may find that you cannot select a practical or attractive location for setting your propane tank near the home or in landscape. Underground tanks are designed to be buried in the ground and are completely out of sight except for the dome covering the valves for servicing the tank. Please keep in mind that codes require all propane tanks that are filled onsite to have a line of site to the truck providing refill service. Other city codes apply.
Due to the natural erosion process some propane gas lines and natural gas lines will need to be repaired or replaced over time. We recommend that you inspect your gas piping once a year where corrosion might be able to form. Gas line repair is most commonly needed on the exterior of the property.
