Propane Tank Installation
Above-Ground & Underground · 120 to 1,000 Gallon
About This Service
If your property doesn't have access to natural gas — or you prefer the independence of propane — Gas Pros installs complete propane systems from the tank to every appliance. We size the tank based on your total BTU demand, desired delivery interval, and whether backup capacity is needed.
We install both above-ground and underground propane tanks. Underground tanks preserve your property's aesthetics and are popular in HOA communities and waterfront homes. All installations meet NFPA 58 setback requirements and are permitted and inspected.
Gas Pros also maintains relationships with local propane suppliers to help you establish delivery service after installation.
What's Included
Our Process
Site Survey & Sizing
We survey your property, calculate total BTU demand across all planned appliances, and recommend the right tank size and placement.
Permit Application
Gas Pros pulls all required permits from the county before installation begins.
Excavation (Underground)
For underground tanks, we excavate to the required depth, prepare the approved backfill material, and set the tank with cathodic protection.
Tank Set & Connection
We set the tank, install the regulator, and run the gas line from the tank to your appliances or manifold.
Pressure Test & Inspection
The complete system is pressure-tested, then a county inspector verifies compliance with NFPA 58 and Florida code.
Supplier Coordination
We help coordinate with your propane supplier for the initial fill and ongoing delivery schedule.
Frequently Asked Questions
What size propane tank do I need?
Tank size depends on your total BTU demand and desired delivery frequency. A 120-gallon tank suits a single appliance, while whole-home systems typically need 500–1,000 gallons. We'll calculate the right size for your needs.
Above-ground or underground propane tank?
Above-ground tanks are less expensive and easier to inspect. Underground tanks preserve aesthetics and are preferred in HOA communities and waterfront properties. Both meet NFPA 58 setback requirements.
How long does propane tank installation take?
Above-ground installations typically take 1 day. Underground installations may take 2–3 days due to excavation and backfill requirements.
Do you handle the permit for propane tank installation?
Yes. Gas Pros handles all permits and inspections for propane tank installations. Every installation meets NFPA 58 setback requirements and Florida Building Code.
Can you help me set up propane delivery?
Yes. We maintain relationships with local propane suppliers and can help you establish delivery service after your tank is installed.
